Bulk Write

Bulk-write NFC tags from your phone

Bulk Write lets you set up one link, text or template and write it to up to 9,999 NFC tags in a session. Each tag can get its own serial number, every write can be read back to verify it, failed writes are logged, and you can pause and resume at any time.

Who it's for

  • Events: wristbands, badges, and check-in tags written in one sitting
  • Retail: shelf and product tags that open the same product page or offer
  • Asset and inventory labels with a unique serial per item
  • Makers who sell tagged products and need every unit ready to ship

How it works

  1. Open Bulk Write and choose what to write: a link, a line of text, or one of your saved templates.
  2. Set how many tags you need, from 1 to 9,999.
  3. Turn on auto-numbering to add a serial like ?sn=0001 to each link or text, and verify-after-write to read every tag back.
  4. Hold each blank tag to your phone. It writes automatically. Lift it and present the next one.
  5. Watch progress against your target. Failed writes are logged, and you can pause and resume the session.

Which tags to use

For a single link, an NTAG213 tag (144 bytes of user memory) is enough and the cheapest option. Pick NTAG215 or NTAG216 for longer links or text. Test one tag from each pack before starting a large run.

Free or Premium?

Bulk Write is a Premium tool. On the free plan you can run one session by watching a short ad, which is enough for a one-off batch. Premium gives you unlimited sessions, no ads, and Cloud Backup for your templates.

Questions, answered

Can every tag get a unique value?

Yes. Auto-numbering adds a serial number (for example ?sn=0001, ?sn=0002) to the link or text, so each tag in the batch is different.

What happens when a write fails?

The failure is logged and the session keeps going. With verify-after-write on, each tag is read back after writing, so a tag that didn't take is caught right away.

How many tags can I write in one session?

Up to 9,999. You can pause a long session and resume it later.

Can I lock tags so nobody can change them?

Yes, from Tag Tools: password-protect a tag against rewrites, or lock it permanently as read-only.
